CLOSET CLEAN UP

I was super inspired by the ultra fabulous Anna-Alexia and her crazy closet creation. Her vibrant closet build is a must see!
How to get started?
Take everything out of your closet. This really helps look at your space and wardrobe from a fresh POV.
DO- COLOR COORDINATE
Something Anna-Alexia talked about in her closet build was color + print coordinating vs organizing by style (ie: tops, dresses, pants, & coats). This was a game changer! Once I was done, the entire flow felt more balanced and uncluttered, and so visually appealing! The color groupings make for a very cheerful entrance. It also helps statement pieces and prints stand out.
DO- ACCESSIBLE ACCESSORIES
Jackie has also been a big lucite shoe box fan, and now I’m one too! I was so over dusty shoes, and never seemed to put them away on their rack. I’ve 100% converted to the shoe boxes and love how neat it looks while also being completely functional. For the two shelves in my closet, I relegated the top to more special occasion accessories. My bags used to live in a basket on the ground, and I’m excited to have them finally at eye level.
DO- TRI-FOLD DENIM IN WASH RANGE
I ended up geeking out and stacked my denim in fit groups (ie straights, skinnies and wide legs). This is definitely not necessary, but I would highly recommend a beautiful indigo wash range from light to dark.
I did say goodbye to some really cool pieces that I wasn’t wearing often and couldn’t justify keeping. Those will be coming to my Depop account soon!! More to come…
