asti fashion week: day I

Asti Fashion Week was all about chic comfort and ease. While we relaxed all weekend, we spent a lot of time exploring restaurants and little shops. During the day, it was extremely hot, but at night the temperatures definitely dropped. It was necessary to be able to easily take my clothes from day to night--no matter which activity we were doing!

Originally I bought my silk and crochet tunic as something cute to lounge around my apartment in. However, I quickly realized that it is just too pretty and versatile to only wear when I am vegging out. I wore this piece to death in the wine country, and I find myself wearing it different ways every time I put it on. During the day, I wore my tunic as a cardigan over a romper. We went wine tasting and antique shopping, so I needed to be in loose fitting and cooling clothing. At night we dined outside at the Francis Ford Coppola winery, so I chose to button up the tunic and pair it with dark skinny jeans, and a leopard wedge. Being able to take your clothes from day to night is imperative knowing how to style your wardrobe!
